Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), a longtime advocate for reform of the Federal Reserve, is sharply criticizing the Federal Reserve today after Bloomberg news reported that the Federal Reserve secretly committed nearly $8 trillion in support to American and international financial institutions during the 2008 bailout. Kucinich recorded a video for his website before going to the floor of the House of Representatives to call upon Congress to reclaim its Constitution primacy over monetary policy.

.the that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. if the american people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homless on the continent their fathers conquered. the issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs.

They don't necessarily create money out of thin air, the money they print essentially comes out of the pockets of everyone else who is holding dollars. Every dollar they print dilutes the pool of money already in existence, your money is worth less due to inflation caused by them printing more money. The Fed is essentially stealing your money.... why aren't you angry enoung to do something about it? END THE FED END THE COUP D'ETAT... the overthrow of our nation!

I think we need a paradigm shift. Most people do not GET the madness we have been living in, they just don't see it because they don't believe that the government could treat us like this. They need to be shocked out of their slumber. I believe its happening thanks to people like Dennis et al foregoing popularity to speak about integrity, honesty & the right thing for all! Thanks Dennis xxx

Imagine a flood and the government has a "magical solution" that can save a lot of survivors. The banks say, "Give it to us, we have the plans to divvy it up. There's no time to argue or we'll all die!" Even though a sea of people are begging the government not to do it, they give the money away anyway. Then the banks and corporations jet away from the mess they didn't help solve, with the responsibility they repeatedly propose and ignore at the same time, with money nobody earned.

I second that motion. Knickknack07 should be eligible for special education.

They should have occupied the Federal Reserve - that would be much more understandable. Hell, I might even go join that one...

What people don't realize, is that even if Ron is on the conspiratorial side, it's supposed to be that way. It is his job to represent our interests. And part of that job is to probe and be investigatory in nature. Curious, doubtful, suspicious, skeptical, and even cynical at times. People see him as some crazy old man. Why? Because he doesn't take what these powerful, influential people say at face value? We need more people like him. We need representatives on our side, working hard like Ron.
